WHY did I become a Realtor?  Well of course
people would point out the financial rewards,
and, yes, I guess with any job, you have to
consider that.   But why?  Why a Realtor?  I
had been thinking of getting my license for
some time.  Then I had been looking through
an old box of papers in the storage unit, and
found the documents from when I bought my
house in 1997.  Ten years later, I now
understood what all the things really meant.
Things I learned through hard experience. And
I was astonished to see what some of the things
I signed off on really meant.  And that if I had
to do it again, I would have done it differently.
Back then I did it by myself; I didn't use a
Realtor.   Then I had a thought which I guess
you could call the “lightbulb moment”.  I
thought that if I could do it again, I would have
gotten someone to help me.  And I realized that
I could very well be helping people as a Realtor
the way I wished I had help back in 1997.

If I couldn’t be a Realtor in Ocean City, I
wouldn’t have done it.
I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t think I could
really A) do a good job of it and B) help
out people who want to be at the shore.
There are so many different places you
can own, so many different types of
buildings, so many areas.  You could have
a place where you can walk to the
Boardwalk.  Or maybe a quiet place on
the back bay.  Ocean Pines?  Uptown
Ocean City?   When I say The Shore, I
just don’t mean the beach and sand.
There are lovely rural areas near Snow
Hill.  Or a nice house in Berlin.  Or
Bishopville, or wherever.
